ABOUT SOUTHERN PIANOS
Southern Keyboards, now Southern Pianos, is a five time winner of the North American " Dealer of the Year" in sales and service for KAWAI, one of the world's largest premium grand piano manufacturers.
Southern Keyboards was founded in 1977. Over the years, Southern Keyboards has carried other lines of pianos such as Bosendorfer, Ibach, Roland, Samick, Wurlitzer, Everett, Thomas and Kurzweil, however Kawai has been the constant focus since the inception of Southern Keyboards. Our original intention was to actively involve the Atlanta area teaching community as well as schools and churches by readily providing recital and rehearsal space and instruments free of charge and supporting music festivals and particularly music competitions that promoted student scholarship programs. An enormous portion of our existing business consists of referrals from previously satisfied customers and their teachers and friends. In addition, no other local dealership has enjoyed the extent of loyal support from Atlanta area piano technicians as well. In 2007
the company was awarded the first ever DEALER OF THE YEAR award by all Atlanta members of the Piano Technicians Guild.
Since Southern Keyboards was founded, it has been named Kawai's Dealer of the Year five times and this year will be the 30th time that Southern Keyboards has been named to Kawai's Inner Circle ( top 25 dealers worldwide) ----the most of any dealer in the U.S.!
Kawai and Southern Keyboards are proud to be the official sponsor and sole piano provider to the Atlanta Jazz Festival . Kawai and Southern Keyboards provides pianos for the most prestigious venues and schools throughout the southeast and hosts piano festivals and competitions from teacher's groups from all over Georgia. We currently employ seven teaching associates, all of whom hold advanced degrees and has more in-house teaching studios than any other piano dealer in the Atlanta area.
Southern Keyboards also maintains a staff of the top piano and keyboard technicians in the area and services both institutions and individually owned instruments throughout the Atlanta area.
